Personal life
Ford was married three times. He had three children, four biological and one adopted. From 1964 to 1979, he was married to Mary Marquardt. Their sons were Benjamin and Willard.
From 1983 until their divorce in 2004, Ford was married to screenwriter Melissa Mathison. They had two children, Malcolm and Georgia. Mathison died in 2015.
