Early life
HasanAbi was born Hasan Dogan Piker on July 25, 1991 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States.
His father is Turkish and his mother is American. He grew up in Istanbul, Türkiye and attended public school.

He then transferred to Rutgers University, where he earned graduate degrees in political science and communication studies.
While studying at Rutgers University, he worked as an intern for the progressive news program “The Young Turks (TYT)”.
Career
Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker then created his own show called “The Breakdown”, which he also hosted in 2016. This show became extremely popular, earning him a nomination at 10th Shorty Awards 2018 in the category “Best Web Series”.
In 2019, he began hosting another series for TYT called “Agitprop with Hasan Piker.” In 2020, he decided to quit TYT completely to become a streamer on Twitch.
