Henry Aggrey Bagiire, a prominent Ugandan politician, was born on January 27, 1968. He was raised by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bagiire, in present-day Mayuge District.

Bagiire holds a degree in Education from the Institute of Teacher Education, a constituent of Kyambogo University, awarded in 1992.

In 1999, he obtained a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Makerere University and in 2003, he received a Diploma in Public Administration & Management from the same university.

Career

Henry Aggrey Bagiire has an extensive background and experience in the agricultural sector. He taught at Bukoyo Secondary School from 1992 to 2000, becoming the Head of the Department of Agriculture.

He also served as a research team leader for the International Food Policy Research Institute and as an Agricultural Extension Officer for Iganga District. From 2002 to 2006, he served as the chairman of the Mayuge District Service Committee.
