Ji’s Mission Guide

First go west two screens to reach Ji’s house. Enter the house and walk west to the kitchen. Play petting games with Yuzu Cat and you will get an anime DVD as a reward. Leave the house and head back east to reach the library. Go upstairs to the Animation Club and interact with Bimmy to show the club their new TVs and DVDs.

In return, you will receive an Anime Club membership card indicating that you are a member of the club. Once your preparations are complete, return to the train station and catch the train to Beach Town. Once there, continue west from the south exit near the grocery store for two screens, then north for one screen and west for another.

You will then pass through the stairs leading to the Casino of Dreams, marked by Alma and Solti. Climb the stairs and open the door to face the three area bosses again. Show your Anime Club membership card to the mysterious figure overseeing the train, who appears to exist outside of dimensions. This will allow you to engage in a boss battle with the Y2K Bug, a creature that damages your DVD player and causes multiple worlds to merge.

Don’t worry though, Alma has generously equipped you with a projectile sword for this fight. After defeating Y2K, you will have successfully completed the game and can enjoy the anime with your friends, complete with a grand fireworks display as the end credits roll.

• Visit the big house in the northeast part of the Beach Town map tile.
• Trade the legendary game board with the old man for wing boots, which allow you to jump over pits.

Swamp Dungeon:

• Head to the swamp area and go west two screens, north one screen, and west three screens.
• Travel through the swamp and encounter new enemies such as mushrooms.
• Solve pipe puzzles and find safety switches to unlock boss doors.
• Defeat the Nofungus boss to get the Bishum Mushroom.

Get the Bicep Card and Master Key:

• Return to the witch’s hut near the desert and exchange the Bishum mushroom with the witch Salty for the bicep card.
• Retrace your steps to New Crunchy City, go west, then go north two screens to reach Junji Ito’s house.
• Give him Junji Ito’s cat in exchange for the Master Key.

Junji Ito’s former residence:

• Return to the New Crunchy City train station and return to Animal Village.
• Head east until you hit the wall, then follow the winding path east.
• Arrive at Junji Ito’s house, go north two screens, then return his cat to him to get the Master Key.

Hill Dungeon:

• Retrace your steps to the New Crunchy City train station and then back to Animal Village.
• Drive east until you reach the highest peak, then continue east until you enter hilly terrain.
• Encounter new enemies like monsters and make your way to Alma and a locked door.
• Use the master key to unlock the mountain dungeon.

Defeat the Overlord:

• Make your way through the dungeon on the mountain, collect keys and follow the prompts to open the boss’ door.

Dream Casino:

• Return to the desert and find the stairs leading to the Fantasy Casino.
• Show your Anime Club membership card to the interdimensional being running the train to participate in the boss battle.
• Fight the Y2K bug, defeat it with your new projectile sword, and restore order to the Anime Club.
• Enjoy the animation with friends and enjoy the end credits, complete with fireworks.
