Early life and education
Hong Ling was born in Singapore to Thai-Chinese parents. She was born on August 16, 1994.
She has two siblings, a brother and a sister who looks like her twin. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a housewife. She said she “Growing up in a traditional Chinese family, I am grateful for my roots”
Hong Ling started acting at the age of 12, when she was still in the sixth grade of primary school. She completed her studies at Fuchun Middle School. She is the second oldest in a family of three.
Hong Ling discovered her talent for film while studying at Temasek Polytechnic, but she dropped out of school to pursue an acting career. It is not clear whether she returned to complete her studies.
