The game retains a winning combination of real-time action, strategic elements, and role-playing features. Players will pick up where Remastered left off, guiding skilled mercenary Claude Strife and the Avalanche eco-terrorist group on missions across the planet. Their mission: to thwart Shinra’s plans to harness the Lifestream, the essence of life, and to prevent the powerful Sephiroth from gaining enhanced power by uniting with the planet.
Production on “Rebirth” started in November 2019, before the release of “Remastered”, and the game will be officially unveiled in June 2022. There was a creative shift, with Tetsuya Nomura as creative director and Naoki Hamaguchi as director. The game brings back key staff from the previous game, maintaining the collaborative spirit that made Final Fantasy VII Remake a success.
Final Fantasy VII Reborn was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024 to critical acclaim. The game builds on its predecessor, captivating players with its immersive gameplay, engaging narrative and stunning visuals, ensuring a worthy continuation of the beloved Final Fantasy legacy.

How to defeat Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7 Reborn?
In the initial confrontation with Sephiroth, players will experience a unique twist as Cloud and Zack team up to face a formidable opponent. Controlling Zack brings a fresh dynamic to combat, offering different special abilities. By pressing triangle, players can recharge Zack’s meter from level 1 to level 3, with each level unlocking new abilities.

The challenge is to charge strategically before becoming the target of Sephiroth’s rapid attacks and cutting projectiles. Players must master their timing to maximize Zach’s potential in battles against iconic opponents. Sephiroth’s arsenal includes notable attacks, such as his leaping version where he disappears into the air and attacks from above.
Another action “skewer” involves rapid teleportation and powerful sword thrusts, prompting players to quickly switch characters if they’re caught off guard. When Sephiroth activates his most powerful move, Eight Slashes, players should seize the opportunity to launch a series of attacks to effectively pressure him.
The strategic role switching between Cloud and Zac is crucial, with Cloud drawing aggro and Zac delivering powerful attacks at different spec levels with his buster sword. Coordinating these tactics during Sephiroth’s chaotic state and leveraging the synergy Soldier’s Honor can lead to quick victory.
Despite the initial collaboration, the reunion between Cloud and Zack was short-lived, setting the stage for the next phase. As the battle progresses, Cloud must face Sephiroth alone, now in a fearsome new form – Sephiroth Reborn. As the battle intensifies, players will face more challenges and higher stakes in the ever-changing dynamics of this epic showdown.

Before taking on Jenova, make sure Aerith is equipped with valuable materials, focusing on healing or defensive spells. Take advantage of her magic-based abilities, specifically Sorcery Storm and Prayer, which are available from the start of the game. Since the team will be divided in the upcoming battle, use this opportunity to adjust your equipment. If you are short of multiple elemental magic materials, distribute them wisely among your team members, especially considering Barret, Yuffie, and Red XIII.
When it comes to healing, Aerith’s magical abilities make basic healing spells very effective, allowing you to distribute the highest-level healing materials to other party members. Consider equipping Barrier Material on Cloud or Aerys, as they will likely take the brunt of the most powerful attacks in the upcoming battle. Preparation and strategic material placement will play a vital role in meeting the challenges Jenova and Sephiroth pose.

Final Fantasy 7 Reborn gameplay
“Final Fantasy VII Reborn” is the second game in the trilogy, recreating the 1997 PlayStation classic “Final Fantasy VII”. The game is set after the events of Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020) and tells the story of Cloud Strife, a former HRE soldier who later became an eco-soldier of AVALANCHE .

Together they fight against Shinra, a mega-corporation draining the earth of life energy, and face the legendary soldier Sephiroth, who was thought dead but mysteriously returns. Rebirth builds on the original game, reimagining elements and expanding on character development and the overall narrative.
Rebirth’s gameplay combines real-time exploration and combat in a more open world, unlike the linear structure of the Midgar remake. The heads-up display provides objective markers for main story missions and side missions, indicating their distance from the party.
In addition to walking, players can use Chocobo and Chocobo Decoy materials to travel faster. The game improves on the action-focused melee combat and real-time combat (ATB) system introduced in the remake. The player controls a group of characters and can freely switch between them during the game.
Characters can use physical attacks and magic, and can use items to attack, defend, and revive during pauses in the game. The “synergy” mechanic, which first appeared in the DLC “Episode INTERmission” of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (2021), has returned, allowing synchronized attacks, but at the cost of slower filling of the ATB bar.
