Dungeon map
- Use the dungeon map to familiarize yourself with the layout of the Water Temple. This will help you understand the various floors and plan your path.
open four faucets
- The goal is to activate the four faucets to drain the water and advance further. You can complete them in any order you want, but we will complete them in order.
Faucet 1
- To reach the first tap, head to the west side of the central floor to find the ramp that leads to the base of Temple B1.
- Use Ultrahand to grab a Hover Stone Zonai device on the other side of the flames. Place it over the flames to build a bridge, or use Sidon’s ability to protect yourself with water and cross easily.
- Once you reach the other side, deactivate the Hover Stone and place it on the switch to the right of the door to have Sidon join you.
- Continue deeper into the room and drop down to a lower area where the floor is covered in spikes with a ball at the end.
- Grab the inactive hover stone, activate it, and place it in the middle of the spiked area.
- Jump back to the previous platform.
- Grab the hover stone.
- Move the hover stone with the ball above you so it’s closer to the upper level. Use the ascent to get to one of the hover stones that is in place.
- Move the ball platform until it is on the upper ledge. Jump to the top level.
- Take the ball in the center of the Hover Stone to the ball switch on the left wall, twist it, and then press it in so that the Hover Stone holds it in place. This will open the first switch in the room. Use Sidon’s water ability to make the wheel spin and open the first faucet.
Faucet 2
- Return to the central area of the temple and head west to the broken bridge leading to the West Island.
- Defeat the construct and head to the north end of the island.
- Use the Ultrahand to grab the ball from the water.
- Use the ability of Splash Fruit or Seaton to clear the sludge on the bubble dispenser.
- Place the ball into the first bubble that appears and let it float to the island above. Follow it to the next bubble and let the ball fall into the water.
- Use your overhand to grab a Hover Stone and carry it to the white gate submerged in the water.
- Glue the activated hover stone to the top of the white stone and use the Ultrahand to move the entire thing upwards. The stone will hold the door in place and allow water to drain away. The ball will drop into the hole and open the door to the second switch. Use Sidon’s water ability to open the second faucet.

Faucet 3
- Return to the middle of the temple and head northeast to reach a waterfall cave covered in sludge.
- Shoot a splash fruit arrow at the sludge to reveal a waterfall. Glide towards it and use the Zora Armor to swim up.
- Land on a broken platform and you’ll find bubbles falling from the sky. When the bubble touches the platform, use Recall to enter it and ride it back.
- Jump to the opposite island and go right. You will see a waterwheel with a short oar.
- Near the waterwheel is a box covered with dirt, containing five arrows. Lowered his head and grabbed two white slates from the water.
- Glue each white slate to each side of the water wheel, making sure to move one into the water. This forces the wheel to spin and generate electricity.
- Follow the current and you will see that the circuit is damaged. Behind the broken circuit, there is a bubble dispenser.
- Use the Ultrahand to grab a bubble from the dispenser and move it into the gap in the circuit. This will make the bubble conduct electricity, completing the circuit and opening the door to the next switch.
- Use Sidon’s water attack to activate the switch and open the third faucet.
Faucet 4
- The last fork is on the upper island in the south. To reach it, run slightly south and glide to the lower platform.
- Defeat the fire enemies and use ascend to reach the top. Clear the area of any buildings to avoid interference.
- You can find a rotating block high on a tower to the south. The switch you need to press is covered in sludge and moves very fast.
- Use the hover stone device and rise up to get high enough to get a clear shot of the switch. Manipulate low gravity to your advantage.
- Jump and draw the bow to shoot shots with splashing fruit in slow motion. Aim carefully and release the arrow to hit the switch.
- Repeat the same process without letting the water hit the switch again. If the switch is successfully pressed, the water in the pool will drain out.
- In the drained pool, there is a chest containing an Opal. More importantly, however, enter the room and activate the last tap.
- Now that all four taps are open, return to the start of the temple and touch the Zonai terminal. This will cause water to flow into the sludge pile, leading to your next boss fight.
Stage 1
In the initial stages, Muktorok swims around an arena covered in sludge. Use Seaton’s water attack or water-based items to remove sludge. Watch out for Muktorok’s fast movement and attacks, such as ramming or firing a muddy laser. Hit it twice or once with water using Sidon’s attack to expose the vulnerable octopus. Shoot an arrow to knock it down and attack while it’s down. You can also use slow motion and arrows in the low gravity environment of the Water Temple.

Stage 2
During the second phase, Muktorok covers the arena with sludge, slowing your movement. Wash away the sludge with Sidon’s Water Attack or a water-based item. Collect the Heart Container and speak to Sidon for historical information. Back in Zora territory, Sidon becomes the new king and water sage. With the Oath of Sidon, you gain access to his shield ability to increase defense.
How to defeat the Water Temple in “Tears of the Kingdom”?
To activate the four faucets and progress, complete them in any order. For Tap 1, go west to the base of the temple on B1. For Faucet 2, defeat the construct, grab a ball, clean the bubble dispenser, then let the ball drain the water to turn on the second switch. Use Sidon’s water attack to activate the faucet. For Faucet 3, reveal the waterfall, ride the bubble, place the white slate on the water wheel to complete the circuit, and activate the third faucet with Sidon’s attack. For faucet 4, reach the island above and press the sludge-covered switch to drain the water, then activate the last faucet. After opening all the faucets, touch the Zonai terminal to let the water flow into the sludge for the next boss fight.
