How to complete the star field agent?
To complete the “Agent” mission in Starfield (which allows you to join the Freestar Rangers), follow these steps:
Unlock missions
You must first complete the “Work Gone Wrong” mission, which is a mandatory part of Starfield’s main story. After successfully taking on the bank robbers in this mission, if you are interested in becoming a Freestar Ranger, Marshal Daniel Blake will suggest that you meet Ranger Emma Wilcox in Boulder City.
Chatting with Emma Wilcox
Head to The Rock in Akira City and find Emma Wilcox at a table upstairs. Express your desire to join the Freestar Rangers and she will provide you with information about the organization. However, she will ask you to prove your skills by completing one of their tasks.
Complete the Liberty Star Ranger mission
Near Emma, you’ll find a mission board offering various Freestar Ranger missions. Choose one of these tasks. The details of the missions will vary, but typically you’ll need to eliminate the enemies of the Freestar Collective or rescue hostages. Successfully complete selected tasks.
Talking to Emma Wilcox again
After completing the Free Star Ranger mission, return to Akira City and talk to Emma again. She’ll be pleased with your performance and introduce you to Marshal Daniel Blake.
Talk to Marshal Daniel Blake
Speak to Marshal Daniel Blake and he will officially join you in the Freestar Rangers and provide you with some starting gear, including a pistol. Congratulations, you are now a Freestar Ranger Deputy!
Go to Wagner Farm and talk to Michaela Wagner
Your next mission as a Freestar Ranger deputy will take you to the Wagner Farm, located on the moon of Montara in the Cheyenne system. Upon arrival, talk to Mikaela Wagoner, a farmer who needs help. She will explain that some people tried to buy her farm at insulting prices and threatened her when she refused. The men had retreated to the ravine behind her home.
Find the villains by checking their tracks
Follow the farm’s guide track into a nearby ravine. Keep following the tracks, but be careful as you may encounter mines and the occasional turret along the way. As you progress, eliminate any threats, including swarming sunflowers.
fight villains
At the end of the path you’ll find the villain’s camp. Talk to their leader, but be prepared for a firefight, as the villains will initiate a fight regardless of your dialogue choices. Watch out for the villainous boss who wields a powerful lightning weapon.
Looking for clues in the camp
After defeating the villain, talk to Emma Wilcox again. She wants to investigate and find clues as to why the gangsters targeted Michaela Wagner. Fortunately, you don’t have to search too far. The ruffian leader will have a “Job Done” stone on his body. Retrieve it and read its contents via the Notes tab in the inventory. The tablet mentions a ship stolen from Hope Technologies, which they plan to jettison after gaining the necessary points. Provide Emma with the tablet to advance the quest.
Talking to Michaela Wagner again
Return to Michaela Wagner and show her the slate. Although she may be confused, she will want to deliver the good news. To save time, use the map to quickly return to Wagner Farm. Talk to Mikaela and she’ll realize that the villain is no longer a threat. This action completed the “agency” mission.

Starfield is an action role-playing video game that allows players to flexibly switch between first- and third-person perspectives at any time. The game is set in the vast open world of the Milky Way galaxy, blending fictional and real planetary systems, with access to more than 1,000 planets, numerous moons and space stations.
The landscapes in the game are primarily procedurally generated, with subsequent manual refinement and handcrafted elements added. As players approach a planet, the game dynamically generates terrain, alien flora and fauna, and points of interest.
Players will encounter a variety of non-player characters (NPCs) while exploring the game world. Some NPCs can become part of the player’s crew, assisting in combat, carrying items, or conducting dialogue on the player’s behalf. Choices made by the player may cause reactions from these NPCs.
The game allows players to customize their characters at the beginning, including body shape, appearance, background and traits. Different backgrounds can unlock specific starting skills. As players progress, they gain experience and level up, unlocking abilities across five skill trees.
Weapons in the game include guns, explosives, and melee weapons, all of which can be customized with attachments. Players can also equip a jetpack for combat and travel. Planetary scanning helps identify natural resources for crafting, and players can establish outposts for research, crafting, and resource extraction. Spaceships that can be purchased or customized play an important role, with modular customization options. Ship combat involves the distribution of forces and boarding ships piloted by other NPCs, offering a variety of interactions such as looting, negotiation, or expropriation.
