How to Complete Portal Revolution Chamber 8? Mastering Puzzles with Precision.

portal revolution

Portal Revolution is a cool free add-on for Portal 2, made in 2024 by Second Face Software. Just like the official Portal game, it’s a brain-teasing platformer in which you use portals to solve puzzles in a testing room. But here’s a twist – this mod adds new things like air suction vents and different types of laser cubes. It’s like a prequel to the original game, with you playing as a nameless test subject trying to control a device to repair a test lab.

It took a while to release the game to players on Steam due to some issues with the approval process, but once it launched, players loved it!

How to complete Portal Revolution Room 8?

Completing Chamber 8 in Portal Revolution may seem like a puzzle marathon, but our intrepid players have learned the truth. Lasers and elevators make things more interesting in this level, and unlike the earlier portals, the lasers won’t attack you. First, place the blue portal on the ground wall, walk through it, and click the button to spawn a glass box.

Move the blue portal to the wall of the platform and align the glass box with the outgoing laser to activate the switch. Place the blue portal on the lower wall and cut off the laser switch to manage the elevator. Once on the elevator, reset the blue portal on the laser wall.

Repeat these steps to reach the top. Now, place a blue portal on the wall opposite the laser switch, go through it, and a new glass box will spawn. Aim it to shoot through the orange portal to the laser switch on the other side. Go through the orange portal and bam! The exit door opened.

Portal Revolution gameplay

In Portal Revolution, gameplay is all about solving puzzles in these cool spaces called “test rooms,” just like in the official Portal game. You have this nifty gun that lets you create portals and use it to interact with things like buttons and cubes. But wait, there’s more! You can also spread gel around the chamber – these special substances allow you to bounce or slide on surfaces.

Now, the mod makes things even more interesting with some new tricks. There is a different type of laser cube and this one can clean up areas of gel mess. They’ve even brought back the abandoned “aerodynamic vents” from the original Portal 2. Oh, and be prepared for a challenge, as many puzzles only let you control a single portal. This is an intellectual adventure full of twists and turns!

Portal Revolution Plot

In Portal Revolution, the game that preceded Portal 2, you were an unnamed test subject awakening in the shabby labs of Aperture Science. Under the guidance of Maintenance Core Sterling, you are tricked into taking a test on the “Emergency Response Team”. After discovering Sterling’s true purpose, you teamed up to activate the device that restored Aperture.

A teleportation glitch sends you into an experimental orbit, encountering the core of Emilia Conley. Together they climb the spire and stop Sterling from reviving GlaDOS. Conley reveals Sterling’s robotic origins. The duo prevented GlaDOS from returning, causing the device to explode, teleporting the Spire to the moon. Conly places you in a lunar dome, hinting at a mysterious future.
