What does the Mark Spell do?

After completing the Pokédex, go to the Blueberry Academy entrance and talk to Cyrano. He will congratulate you on completing the Pokédex and reward you with a Mark Charm. Marking charms, originally from the Isle of Armor expansion for Pokemon Sword and Shield, increase your chances of encountering marked Pokémon.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this special charm gives Mark two extra chances per encounter, essentially tripling your chances. By equipping Marking Charms while exploring different areas of Paldia, you’ll have a greater chance of encountering Pokémon with special patterns. This is a valuable item for trainers looking for rare marked Pokémon.
