Wee Pat Ling, also known as Huang Biren, was born in Singapore on March 7, 1969 to Chinese parents. Although her parents named her Ling, she adopted her stage name when she entered the entertainment industry.
Huang Biren is the second child in the family, with an older sister and a younger brother whose name has not yet been determined. Huang Biren has dreamed of becoming an actor since she was a child. However, her parents did not support her dream, which made her face a difficult decision.
She boldly turned down a scholarship from Hawaii Pacific University in the United States and accepted a contract from Singapore Christian University. Her determination and courage paid off and she became a well-known and respected figure in the Singapore entertainment industry.
