I Am Legend is a 2007 action thriller film directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith as United States Army virologist Robert Neville. While searching for food, Sam chases a deer into a building infested with Darkseekers. Neville and Sam escape, and he discovers a possible antidote in his own blood. He captures a female Darkseeker to test. However, his attempts seem unsuccessful.

The next day, Neville realizes he is being watched by the Darkseekers. He is trapped, knocked unconscious, and attacked by infected dogs. Sam is bitten, and a heartbroken Neville injects her with his own serum, but when she turns away, he is forced to strangle her.

An enraged Neville attacks the Dark Seekers and is rescued by two immune humans, Anna and a boy named Ethan. They explain that they survived a Red Cross ship and are heading to a so-called survivor camp in Vermont. Neville disagrees, arguing that there is no camp. When the Dark Seekers invade Neville’s home, the three retreat to the basement to try to find a cure for the female Dark Seekers.

I Am Legend release date

I Am Legend was originally scheduled to be released in the United States and Canada on November 21, 2007, but the release was delayed and finally premiered on December 14.
