‘If white people can vote their felons, I can dance after mine’

Michael Che shared that one criminal is no better than another in a word play Saturday night live.

In the show’s latest “Weekend Update,” Che and co-host Colin Jost shared their thoughts on the November 5 presidential election that saw Donald Trump win over Vice President Kamala Harris.

After Jost’s quips about the United States being a “simulation,” Che attacked white liberals who “convinced” him that Harris had a chance to defeat Trump.

“How did I let you guys convince me that rural Pennsylvania would choose Jamaican Indian women? Clearly, I’ve spent too much time on white liberals and foolish optimism It wasn’t even close. At one point, Trump was so far ahead that they brought in Bronny [James]”, Che began.

He then took aim at white people who voted for Trump and compared their support for him to R. Kelly.

“Are you going to let a man with 34 felony convictions lead the free world and become president of the United States? That’s it, I’m listening to R. Kelly again. I’ve heard it before, but I will stop pretending like that.” ‘t. If white people can elect their felons, I can dance with mine,” Che said.

Kelly is serving a 20-year prison sentence for being convicted of three counts of producing child pornography and three counts of luring a child into sex. The singer was also convicted of sex trafficking and fraud in New York. He was sentenced to 30 years in that case.

The singer is serving his prison sentence at a medium-security federal correctional center in Butner, North Carolina, and is expected to be released on December 21, 2045, when he is nearly 79 years old.

The cast then took aim at the class gap in America, sharing that the 10 richest people in the world made $60 billion after news of Trump’s election as president, joking about Trump’s support of class labor.

“That’s right, the richest people immediately become richer. But don’t worry, I’m sure yours will soon become richer, Earl!” Che shared.

Trump won the 2024 presidential election with a final result of 312 electoral votes compared to Harris’ 226. Trump also won 3 million popular votes. Harris previously made history as the first female Vice President.
