Diddy’s song catalog has seen an increase in streaming since his arrest last week.

The rapper and mogul has been thrust into the spotlight after being charged with federal sex trafficking and extortion. But that hasn’t stopped people from listening to his music.

The Press Links New data from data and analytics firm Luminate shows Diddy’s catalog saw an average 18.3% increase in streams the week he was arrested compared to the week before his arrest.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened in the music industry. When a documentary about R. Kelly and his alleged crimes aired, his streaming numbers spiked. Diddy is currently facing charges of conspiracy to commit extortion, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His lawyers have tried to get the rapper released on bail, but he has been denied twice. Diddy’s lawyers even offered $50 million bail, but that was ultimately denied.

Throughout the investigation, he maintained his innocence and pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

Several other stars have also been dragged into the Diddy controversy as Meek Mill has denied any romantic ties with Diddy amid allegations they were romantically involved.

Others like Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez also appeared in photos and videos after Diddy’s arrest.
