Rather, DeMarco seems more focused on his career than ever. Hired by ABC News in December 2022, DeMarco seemed excited to host his first Good Morning America episode.

But originally, Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez were going to replace TJ and Amy. However, on December 9, DeMarco was spotted replacing Gio Benitez, along with Dr. Jennifer Ashton. “We’re going to replace Amy Robach and TJ Holmes,” Stephanie said.

Sharing the news of DeMarco replacing TJ Holmes, RHOBH wrote on Twitter: “Hello.”

In case you didn’t know, former Good Morning America hosts TJ and Amy were let go from their roles on December 5, 2022, after ABC News president Kimberly Godwin labeled their romance an “internal and external distraction.”

“I would like to say that while this relationship does not violate company policy, I have really spent the last few days thinking and figuring out what’s best for ABC News,” he explained.

As for his siblings, DeMarco has two sisters named Sheree Elmore and Ajuania Herrion-Pratt. He also has a brother named Tony LaMarr who passed away in November 2022.

DeMarco Morgan is a journalist who has worked in the industry for two decades.

He began his career after graduating from Jackson State University at CBS affiliate WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2004, he joined ABC’s WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, co-hosting the show with Portia Young. After working there for three years, DeMarco then joined NBC’s WTVJ in Miami, Florida, as an anchor and reporter, and the following year, he moved to WNBC in New York City.

While working in radio, DeMarco also pursued a Master’s degree at Columbia State University. Amazingly, he covered the 11/11 terrorist attacks.

DeMarco currently appears on ABC’s Good Morning America.
