He pursued an acting career after graduating from high school. He started acting in plays, attending USC to study theater and film. He then started working as an actor intermittently from 2012-2013. Along with acting, he also pursued a career as a screenwriter-director and also worked as a producer.
James has given interviews to a number of media outlets where he has talked about the process of making the film. He has also shared that understanding what is going on beneath the words and when those things are never expressed in words is a good script for him as an actor.

James Morosini is one of the grandchildren of Helen Simpson Morosini, who passed away on February 10, 2005. Helen was married to Charles J. Morosini Jr., MD, for 47 years. His grandparents had three daughters; Dr. Deborah Morosini-Huschle of Weston, MA, Dana Reeve (widow of Christopher Reeve) of Bedford, NY, and Adrienne Heilman of Harwich, MA.
Among them, James’ mother is Dr. Deborah Morosini-Huschle. He uses the surname of his mother, who is of Irish and Italian-Polish descent. His aunt is Dana Reeve, an actress, singer and disability activist.
