Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has married her partner of 16 years and Finnish footballer Markus Raikkonen. On August 2, 2020, the Finnish Prime Minister announced her marriage to the world with two photos on her Instagram. The ceremony was held at Kesaranta, the official residence of the Finnish prime minister.

The blushing bride wore a satin dress by Finnish fashion brand Anniruth while the groom wore a black tuxedo. The couple married on August 1, 2020, and the Finnish government sent them a congratulatory message via Twitter.

The married couple share a three-year-old daughter, Emma Amalia Marin, who was born on January 28, 2018. Although they appear on each other’s social media, they keep their lives fairly private. They reportedly started dating in 2003 and got engaged in 2018.
