Jack Antonoff reveals his involvement in the creation of Lana Del Rey’s highly anticipated album, “Lasso.”
The announcement of her upcoming 10th studio album earlier this year hinted at her exciting foray into country music.
Longtime producer Jack Antonoff and country music artist Luke Laird are collaborating with her on the project.
Despite this exciting news, Antonoff remains tight-lipped about the details of their work together. In a recent interview with TIME, “A Story for Another Time.”
The Bleachers frontman continued: “The reason why I don’t talk about things until they come out is very brief: I want to let the music be everyone’s first starting point.”
“I don’t want to rob anyone of the experience of listening to it without context. As soon as you start talking about upcoming work, you’re planting these seeds in people’s heads.”
Since beginning their collaboration in 2019 with “Normal F——-g Rockwell”, Del Rey and Antonoff have continued to collaborate on subsequent projects, including “Chemtrails Over The Country Club” in 2021 and “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” released last year.

In August, Del Rey hinted that the sound of “Lasso” would maintain the familiar character of her previous work.
The “Young & Beautiful” hitmaker explained: “All of my albums are somewhat rooted in Americana, unless it’s an album like ‘Honeymoon’ that’s jazz-oriented, so I don’t think this will be a departure.” Heavy start.”
“If anything, it’s a little softer lyrically and more obvious in a classic country, Americana or Southern Gothic production – again, a lot of my songs have so.”
In another interview in May, Del Rey hinted at a possible change in tone for her upcoming album, which is still awaiting a release date.
The newlywed singer shared that the album’s lyrics may have a lighter feel than her recent music.
“Maybe I don’t have as much to say in terms of self-revelation as in ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Blue Bannisters’ or ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’, but just more melodic. Maybe more American Songbook style?”
