Jahangir Tareen married Amina Mehmood (now Amina Tareen), daughter of cricket patron Syed Hasan Mehmood, in 1978. They have four children together: Meher Tareen Sheikh, Seher Tareen, Maryam Tareen and Ali Tareen .
