James Joseph MacLean was born in Londonderry, England on April 22, 1989. He was raised by his parents, Shawna MacLean and Patrick MacLean.
McLean has a younger brother, Patrick McLean II, and a younger sister, Mary Jane McLean. McLean grew up in the Creggan area of Derry and attended Holy Family Primary School and St Peter’s High School.
