Early life
Jamiu Azeez was born on July 25, 1985 in Lagos State. He grew up in the Somolu area of the state and was raised in a polygamous family.
Azeez is also the first in a family of four children. His parents, natives of Kwara State, own a local business, to support, provide food and send their children to school.

His ability to thrive in the film industry stems from his creativity and social skills. He also grew up in the early 90s; a time when the film/theater industry was starting to take on a new shape.
Jamiu Azeez, 36, also grew up with a keen interest in Yoruba films. He is particularly fond of veteran actress Opeyemi Aiyeola and has recently cited her as his role model.
Education
Regarding his education, Jamiu Azeez received his basic education at St. Peter and Paul School, located in Somolu, Lagos State.
He started his secondary education at Morocco Comprehensive High School and finished at Anguish Memorial School where he received his WAEC certificate.
Azeez’s passion for writing and theatre did not deter him from pursuing his studies at the University. He was soon admitted to study Marketing at the Lagos State University.
Career
Actor and Film Producer, Jamiu Azeez was introduced to the film industry quite early, after meeting Jide Kosoko. However, his first role came a few months later when he got the opportunity to feature in a Yoruba film titled Jamail.
