early life

Jannat Mahid was born on January 6, 1986. She is best known as an Egyptian Arabic pop singer.

Since her debut, she has released several successful albums, including 2016’s Be Nafs Elkalam.

Jannat’s love for singing was evident early on, when she caught her parents’ attention at age 5 by repetitively singing songs by Ummkulthum and Mohammed Abdel Wahab. With the support of her family (her mother, a retired singer), she began performing at age 8, entering and winning the Moroccan National Music Competition.

Later, she participated in the television broadcast show Noujoum Al Ghad (Star of Tomorrow, 2M TV). After her success in the television competition, Jannat decided to travel to the Middle East to try to pursue her success, fame and stardom.

In 2000, Jannat won first place (Best Arabic Singer) at the Layali Dubai event of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). She was noticed by Ratiba El-Hefny and was invited to sing as a guest at the Cario Arabic Music Conference.

Janat then performed at the Cairo Opera House, alongside Majida El Roumi, Wadih El Safi and Sabah Fakhri, before stopping her artistic activities until she obtained a certificate in business and international marketing.

Jannat started singing professionally and released her first song “Efhamny Habiby” with a music video in 2004. At the time, producer Ahmed Desouki was looking for a new sound.

He liked Jannat’s voice and signed her in 2005. After that, Jannat started preparing for her new album which will be released in 2006. The preparation of Elli Beny W Benaka album took a year and a half, as the producer wanted the album to be a success and therefore spent a lot of time perfecting it.

She recorded 21 songs, but only 10 of them were included in the album. The album was a huge success and she also made a music video for the songs, Aktar min Sana. The songs in the album are a collection of romantic and sad songs that describe a woman’s strong emotions.

Jannat has released other albums on labels such as Good News 4 Music, GoodNews4Music Vol.1 and Hob Emtelak, which have been a huge success in Egypt and the Arab world. She has subsequently been named one of the best new talents in the Middle East.

In 2016, she released her fourth studio album, Be Nafs El Kalam. On August 14, 2020, she released her fifth studio album, Ana Fe Entezarak.
