early life
Jason Derulo is of Latin American descent. He was born on September 21, 1989 to Haitian parents. He was born at a public medical center in Miramar, Florida. His official name is Jason Joel Desrouleaux. His mother is Jocelyne Desrouleaux while his father’s name is Joel Desrouleaux. He also has a brother named Joel Desrouleaux.
While growing up, Jason Derulo first spoke Haitian Creole, and later he learned to speak English. He got into the music industry at a young age.
