Profession

Jason Isbell began his career with The Truckers (2001-2007) while they were touring to promote their album Southern Rock Opera. The band was based in Athens, Georgia. Isbell was a key member of this Southern rock band.

He was the band’s songwriter and guitarist, and songs like “Decoration Day” became hits for the band in 2001 when he wrote them at the age of 22. During Isbell’s time with the band, he lived in Athens, Georgia, where the band is based.

Since forming his backing band The 400 Unit, he has continued to release critically acclaimed albums.
