KARACHI: Veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh, who has dominated the film and television industry for five decades, is celebrating his Golden Jubilee in the entertainment industry.
Known for his outstanding performances in popular Pakistani dramas such as Ankahi, Chief Sahib, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum, as well as Bollywood blockbusters such as Namastey London and Om Shanti Om , Javed Sheikh remains a popular figure in the entertainment world. He has acted in more than 100 films.

JAVED SHEIKH UPCOMING MOVIES
Delhi Gate is an upcoming Pakistani action romantic comedy film directed by Nadeem Cheema and written by M. Kamal Pasha. The story revolves around Aamir, a struggling journalist, and Anya, a software engineer with a hidden past. Their lives intersect at the historic Delhi Gate, where they witness a startling event that draws them into a conspiracy involving powerful individuals and a dangerous underground network.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Javed Sheikh, Shafqat Cheema, Roma Michael, Khalid Butt, Yasser Khan and Suzain Fatima. Initially, actors like Saud, Rashid Mehmood and Umer Cheema were part of the project but were later replaced. The film was mainly shot in Lahore, marking the city’s return as a filmmaking center after much of the industry shifted to Karachi.
Initially set for release in 2020, the film faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For 2022, actor Shamoon Abbasi had announced a mid-year release, but further delays have pushed the film’s release to 2025, according to a recent update from the makers.
