Early life and education
Jay Alvarez was born on July 5, 1995, in Oahu, Hawaii, USA. At the age of 15, he ran away from home and dropped out of seventh grade. He claims that his mother always disciplined him, but he went through a difficult time emotionally after her death when he was 15.
Ironically, although he was living his dream life, he eventually grew tired of the activities and started to get homesick. After three years, Jay Alvarez packed his bags and returned to Hawaii in the summer of 2017 in search of a more balanced life because he missed his family and friends on the Pacific island.
After saving enough money from his work, he decided to buy the ideal surfboard. Jay Alvarez, who always considered himself an outcast with different thoughts, feelings and interests than most, began to receive messages from fans around the world telling him how much they admired him because he influenced them to step out of their comfort zone.
