He became famous for his hit single “This year” , for which he has received several awards and endorsements. He is also the founder of Next World Music, an independent record label he formed in 2013 after leaving Kennis Music.
Jaywon has worked with many well-known artists in the Nigerian music industry such as 2face, Sound Sultan, Phyno, Olamide, Reekado Banks and Vector. He has also ventured into acting, starring in the 2021 movie “Army of Thieves”.

Early life and education
Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, known by his stage name Jaywon, was born in Egbemekun, a historic town in Yagbasi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria on June 6, 1986. He is a Yoruba ethnic group and belongs to the Ijumu clan.
He received his primary education at ECWA Primary School and secondary education at Kogi State Public Secondary School.
He later moved to Niger State and obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic, Bida.

Jaywon is very private about his personal life and has not revealed much about his relationship.
However, he confirmed in 2016 that he has a son named Brayden Iledare who was born in the Czech Republic.

In 2014, he had a disagreement with his former record label Kennis Music over the terms of his contract and his exit from the company. Kennis Music issued a statement advising all radio stations to stop playing Jaywon’s songs until the contract buyout request was resolved.
Jaywon responded by saying that his contract with Kennis Music has expired and that he has fulfilled all his obligations to the record label. He also said that he has no issues with Kennis Music and thanked them for the role they played in his career.
In 2017, he was accused of stealing the concept and title of his song “Joromi” from Simi, who had previously released her version.

In 2018, he was arrested by police for violating the curfew imposed by the Lagos State government during the COVID-19 pandemic.
