Jelly Roll accuses Charli XCX’s team of shady chart actions in No. 1 album dispute

While Jelly Roll celebrated his recent No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200 chart, he revealed that he felt like there was an attempt to sabotage his success and this led him to A bit depressed at the moment.

In a recent interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN, the country singer dove into a competitive chart dispute that has taken place between him and his album, “Beautifully Broken.” pop sensation Charli XCX and rapper Rod Wave as they all aim to take the top spot on the album chart in the final weeks of October.

During a recent appearance on a sports talk show, Jelly Roll found a “safe place” to share his thoughts on the current controversies surrounding the music industry, which he describes is the “sleaze” of the business.

The singer shed light on the situation without directly mentioning names, with the notable exception of Charli XCX.

“There was an artist that looked like Hits Double Daily predicted that they wouldn’t even be in the 50, 60,000 album range of me and Rod Wave.”

According to him, the team of “artists” allegedly manipulated the album’s sales figures to ensure the top spot.

That weekend, Jelly Roll’s album made its grand debut, claiming the number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. Close behind was Rod Wave’s “Last Lap” which secured the second spot, in while Charli XCX’s remix project, “Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat,” came in at #3.

It’s worth noting that Jelly Roll also covered up the “sleazy music business” last month.

Back then, Jelly Roll fans were confused by his cryptic reference, which seemed to refer to Russ, a self-released musician who has previously criticized the music industry for engaging in unethical activities.
