Jemima Marcelle Goldsmith was born on January 30, 1974 in Chelsea, London, England, United Kingdom. She is the eldest child of Lady Annabel Goldsmith and financier Sir James Goldsmith.
Her mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, came from an aristocratic Anglo-Irish family and was the daughter of the 8th Marquess of Londonderry. Her father, Sir James Goldsmith, was the son of luxury hotel magnate and former Conservative Member of Parliament (MP), Major Frank Goldsmith.
