Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa format
The format of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is that couples dance every week in pre-recorded shows that air on weekends. Judges rate each performance out of 10 to determine the couples’ ranking. Viewers can also vote for their favorite couples using the SonyLIV app from 9:30 pm to 12:00 am IST. The judges’ scores and public votes are then added together, with each scoring 50% of the final result.
The following week, the two couples with the lowest total scores will compete in a dance competition called “Last Chance to Dance.” In this dance competition, the judges will score each couple’s performance individually. The couple with the lower total score will be eliminated, while the other couple is safe. If “Last Chance to Dance” is the couple’s only performance that week, their score for that round will be added to their total score card.
However, if they have performed earlier in the week, those scores will be ignored. This format ensures that the judges’ comments and audience preferences play a major role in deciding the fate of the contestants, making Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa an engaging and interactive dance reality show.
