John Anthony Siason Estrada was born on June 13, 1973, in Quezon City, Philippines. He was raised by his parents, Vicente Estrada, a city councilor, and Lilia Siason Estrada, a public school teacher. John studied Mass Communications at the University of the Philippines-Diliman for two years but dropped out to focus on his acting career. He is of Filipino descent and a Christian.
