John Lennon’s son, Julian, revealed that he was recently treated for cancer for the second time on Thursday, December 19, after discovering a cancerous mole on his arm.
The Beatles legend’s eldest son shared his journey with fans on Twitter, now known as X, explaining that he had undergone surgery on his shoulder and forearm.
The treatment he underwent came from the same dermatologist who Julian said saved his life nearly years ago during a previous health scare. Now, the musician is urging fans to update their health checks.
“Before I flew to New York from Los Angeles, for Good Morning America, Sirius My lovely dermatologist, Dr. Tess, was the one who discovered and operated on my mole/skin cancer a few years ago and literally saved my life,” Julian, 61, wrote on X.
“Anyway, just after finishing GMA, I got a text from Dr. Tess, with a bit of urgency to get back to Los Angeles, because I have 2 locations on my Skin, Shoulder & Forearm, one of them is a Malignant Tumor, which needs surgery as soon as possible! he added.

The photographer and best-selling author explains that instead of preparing for the holiday season at home, he flew straight back to LA after finishing work in New York City, attending the surgery in person seven-hour emergency session with surgeon Tess in the hope of leaving him cancer-free.
The 61-year-old wrote: āOne can never be too confident in circumstances like this, but we all believe that Dr. Tim saved the worldā¦ So now let’s wait wait”.
“Obviously good news, this will be the best Christmas gift ever… Which I’m very hopeful about… But I just want to say, this is also a timely reminder to everyone, see a doctor to get tested.. It only takes a short time to do so and in the end, you could be saving your life,ā the musician warned fans.
“So please, for the sake of yourself, your family and your friends go see a doctor and do what you have to do… I love life and I want to live a long time and this is one way , a choice.” , it could determine your future,” he wrote, ending by wishing his followers a “happy holiday and a long, healthy life.”
The singer – son of late Beatles star John Lennon and his first wife, Cynthia Powell – had his first scare when doctors identified a cancerous mole in the middle of his scalp and needed to be removed. eliminated in 2020, according to ‘Daily Mail’.
