Bassett was born on December 22, 2000, to parents Tyler and Laura, and was born and raised in Oceanside, California.
More than a decade before he played Ricky in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” he made his musical debut at age eight performing in “High School Musical” on a community stage.
