Justin Timberlake Arrested for Drunk Driving: Cops Reveal Surprising Things in His Pocket

Justin Timberlake was left in an awkward situation as his bag was full of personal belongings when he was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.

Timberlake was arrested for drunken driving in June after police said he ran a stop sign and swerved out of his lane in Sag Harbor, New York.

After refusing a sobriety test, the “SexyBack” singer was arrested, handcuffed and taken to the Sag Harbor Village Police Department.

According to police documents recently obtained by the Daily Mail, a rookie on the force, Michael Arkinson, meticulously catalogued Timberlake’s belongings at the police station. The star was found with a vape pen, an expensive Rolex watch, a gold ring and a wallet containing $306 in cash at the time of his arrest.

Last week, Rolling Stone reported that Timberlake pleaded not guilty to drunken driving during an online court hearing.

Despite his plea, Judge Carl Irace decided to suspend the singer’s driver’s license in New York state and criticized Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., for making statements he called “irresponsible.”

The judge told the attorney that his comments appeared to be an attempt to taint the case before it even began.

Irace’s warning to Burke included the possibility of issuing a restraining order, restricting his communication with the media, according to NBC News.

The 43-year-old singer was pulled over by police on the night of June 18 for failing to obey a stop sign and driving recklessly in the wrong lane. The incident occurred after a gathering at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.

Upon evaluation, Timberlake exhibited obvious signs of intoxication, including loss of balance and difficulty following directions, resulting in a series of failed road sobriety tests, as detailed in the official police report.

After the incident, authorities allowed Timberlake’s friend to drive his BMW home while he was arrested.

Timberlake’s legal team will highlight this detail in the upcoming trial. Burke argued that law enforcement’s failure to recognize that Timberlake’s friend, who was driving the BMW, had also been drinking showed a lack of proper judgment of the “Cry Me A River” singer.

Timberlake’s attorney has strongly denied the accusations of intoxication, asserting that “the police made some very serious errors in this case,” according to CBS12.

“The most important fact to know about this case is that Justin was not drunk and should not have been arrested for driving under the influence,” the attorney said.
