Career
Kamo Mphela’s dancing career began at a very young age. She accompanied her father, a staff member at YFM, to performances which opened the door to exposure to live performance.
As a dancer, she danced to many local music genres including gqom, kwaito, pantsula and later amapiano. Eventually, her unique dancing skills were noticed and she has been performing brilliantly ever since.
She has featured in several piano songs. She has collaborated with top SA female artists including Nadia Nakai and Busiswa. She has earned the title ‘Queen of Amapiano’ from her fans with her incredible Amapiano dance moves.
Kamo Mphela has also ventured into music and has released popular songs like Menemene and Suka Emabozeni. She has also released an EP called ‘Twentee’. She has recently signed with Major League DJz, Banele Mbere and Bandile Mbere.
The record label was interested in developing her musical style and also wanted to promote her brand in the industry.
