Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign sued by Memphis rappers for copyright infringement in the song ‘Vultures 1’

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are facing a lawsuit from Memphis-based hip-hop artists for alleged copyright infringement.

The lawsuit was brought by Vanda Watkins, also known as Crime Manne, and Hayward Ivy, known as DJ Squeeky, and the estate of late rapper Kilo G.

According to TMZ, charges have been brought regarding West’s song “Fuk Sumn” from the album “Vultures 1”, with allegations of unauthorized sampling and lack of attribution or compensation for the original work.

The song was first released in March, which combines country and rap elements to create a melody before the beat kicks in.

The hip-hop group claimed that West and his record label used their vocals without proper permission.

In an attempt to secure sample approval for their album release, they began negotiations with Alien Music Services in March. Unfortunately, the negotiations hit a roadblock in June when the members A key employee of West’s Yeezy company left, causing delays in the process.

A song by DJ Squeeky titled “Drank a Yak (Part 2)” is the origin of the mentioned tune. Criminal Manne claims that the introductory voice in “Fuk Sumn” belongs to him and he can be heard saying: “Stop at the liquor store, get your yak, then we go to indo.”

The plaintiffs filed a claim.

Earlier this year, West released the collaborative albums “Vultures 1” and “Vultures 2” with Ty Dolla $ign.

News of another lawsuit against West comes as he prepares to release a new album.

Pre-orders for West’s highly anticipated solo album, “Bully,” are now available to fans following the chilling reveal of the album’s cover last month.

Shot by 86-year-old Japanese photographer Daidō Moriyama, the cover features a striking image of a mysterious model with a partially blacked-out grille, reminiscent of a lavish $850,000 titanium crown. The rapper’s designer mule was custom-made earlier this year.

West revealed that fans can now not only pre-order the new album, but can also check out a variety of merchandise options, such as black and white t-shirts, in preparation for the album’s release.
