Early life

Karim Benzema, a French football striker, was born on 19 December 1987 in Lyon, France, into a Muslim family. During the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, he fasts.

Hafid Benzema is his father’s name, and Wahida Djebbara is his mother’s name. His parents, Hafid Benzema and Wahida Djebbara, have three children.

Karim Benzema’s contract with Real Madrid was extended until 2022 in February 2020.
