Katherine Lauren Hill (born August 25, 1987), known professionally as Katie Hill, is a former Representative for California’s 25th Congressional District in the United States. She is a prominent American politician, actress, and social services administrator.
It should be noted that she is different from Katie Hill from Emmerdale.
She was one of the first openly bisexual people elected to Congress and was a strong advocate for LGBTQ rights. As a congresswoman, her policies focused on ensuring access to healthcare and affordable housing.

Early life and education
Katie Hill was born in Abilene, Texas, United States, on August 25, 1987. She is the daughter of Rachel Stevenson and Mike Hill. She has a younger brother named Daniel Brett Bennett, born later.
She was named Katherine Lauren Hill at birth. Her father was a police lieutenant, and her mother was a licensed local nurse.
She attended Santa Clarita Valley High School before transferring to California State University. She holds a BA in English as well as a Master’s in Public Administration.
Career
Katie Hill began her career as a policy advocate for People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), a California-based non-profit organization.
Under her leadership, the organization grew to become one of the largest nonprofit housing providers in California. She voted in favor of a ballot initiative to provide money for homeless people in Los Angeles. She was later elected as Co-Leader of the 116th Congress.
