Early life
Katlego Danke was born on 7 November 1978 in North West South Africa.
As a child, Katlego Danke had to move around a lot due to the nature of her father’s work.
Growing up, she lived in several cities in South Africa, including Mafikeng, Potchefstroom, Mabopane and Ga-Rankuwa.

Katlego Danke is a graduate and studying for a certificate at a local university.
Katlego Danke graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BA in Theatre and Performance (UCT). In 2003, she received her BA from the university.
Katlego Danke graduated from Wits Business School with a Diploma in Management Studies. She completed her studies in 2010.
Career
Before entering television, Katlego Danke was a stage artist. Although she is best known for her roles in popular television soap operas, she is also well known for her roles in several stage shows.
Katlego Danke joined the cast of E.tv’s popular television show Backstage in 2002, and she also joined the cast of the television series Generations in 2006. After winning Best Actress at South Africa’s annual SAFTAs awards event, her acting skills were noticed.
Katlego Danke had a recurring role in Isidingo in 2016, after leaving the long-running drama Generations. She was cast in the telenovela Gomora, in which she would play the lead before the series ended. Mzansi Magic, an entertainment channel of DStv, will air the show.
Katlego Danke has also appeared in commercials for Clover, Honda and Vanish, among other brands. She joined Philips Avent, an international baby products company, as a brand ambassador in 2015.

Katlego Danke is a proud mother of a son, but she has tried to keep her child out of the public eye. In October 2014, she gave birth to her son. Her six-year-old son is her pride and joy.
In 2015, she spent time with some of her former colleagues and one of them posted pictures of a fun outing on social media. Her son was in the pictures, but there was no report of the baby’s father. She was spotted holding her child in one of the pictures.
