Katy Perry is once again in legal trouble for filming her “Lifetimes” music video without proper permission.
The 39-year-old singer’s latest music video sees her soaking up the vibrant nightlife, swaying to catchy house tunes in a variety of settings.
The “Dark Horse” hitmaker can be seen making a splash on the tropical islands, greeting beachgoers with high fives.
Located within the Ses Salines de Ibiza and Formentera Natural Park is the island of S’Espalmador. Famous for its meticulously preserved dune system, the island in the Balearic archipelago boasts ecological importance, as highlighted on the official tourist portal of the Balearic Islands.
In Perry’s music video, we can see her dancing on the sand dunes of S’Espalmador – which is also an area off-limits to the public.
After the video debuted last week, the Balearic Islands’ Department of Environment clarified that while the video was not an “environmental crime,” it did violate environmental regulations, Billboard reported.
They asserted that the incident could have been prevented by obtaining the necessary permits.

“Lifetimes”, a song from her upcoming album “143”, has received significant attention.
This comes after recent controversy surrounding her collaboration with Dr. Luke, when it was revealed that the music video was co-directed by Dr. Luke.
After confirming her collaboration with the music producer on the album, there was much discussion about Perry’s decision to collaborate with him, especially in light of the legal dispute involving Kesha’s sexual assault allegations against him.
However, despite Perry’s criticism for working with this producer, her loyal supporters, known as the “Katy Cats”, rallied to support the new release.
Interestingly, many fans seemed to prefer “Lifetimes” over Perry’s previous song “Woman’s World”, which did not stay on the charts for long.
