Kelvin Boj was born on July 21 in the late 1980s to Mr. and Mrs. Bojeghre. He is a southerner from Delta State.

He was born and raised in Lagos, where he was exposed to the rich Nigerian music culture. He grew up listening to legendary musicians such as Michael Jackson, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Bob Marley, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Kenny Rogers. He was deeply influenced by these artists and developed a desire to pursue a career in music.

As a teenager, he wrote lyrics in his free time on weekends. In his twenties, he developed relationships with music producers in Lagos and began learning the craft of sound production.

Kelvin Boj obtained his Junior Secondary School Certificate and West African School Certificate in Lagos State.

He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos where he obtained a degree in Pure Physics.

Kelvin Boj first entered the music industry under the stage name LayLow. In his early years, he produced music for artists such as Konga, Dagrin, Morachi, Remi Aluko, Erigga, Skiibii and Brymo. As a producer, he rose to fame after collaborating with Morachi on the song Hapuya Like Dat. That was in 2006.

In 2015, he decided to rebrand and changed his stage name to Kelvin Boj. He gained international attention as a music artist after releasing the song “Olosho”, which was performed by Ferry Wap.

Over the years, he has collaborated with other music giants such as Davido, Olamide, Tekno, Yung6ix, Patoranking, Vector, Phyno, Lil Kesh and Spellz.

He has also collaborated with international musicians such as Gucci Mane, Wale, Dej Loaf and Yung Mal.

He released the album Man On A Mission in 2020. The work contains 15 tracks, 11 of which were produced by Kelvin Boj.
