Kesha as Scary as Britney Spears: Singer Performs With a Sharp Knife, Causing Concern

Kesha made headlines on Thursday when she performed her new single “JOYRIDE” at the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City.

The 37-year-old singer-songwriter, who recently released a single after leaving Dr. Luke Records less than a year ago, has made headlines for carrying a large knife.

Kesha’s performance has drawn comparisons to Britney Spears’ dangerous dance last year involving large kitchen knives. The pop icon, 41, brandished two knives in a silent video shared with her 42.1 million Instagram followers, performing an impromptu dance routine in the foyer of her California home. Despite the provocative performance, Britney Spears reassured fans in the caption that the knives were not real.

Kesha’s performance coincided with her Independence Day celebration, marked by the release of her new single “JOYRIDE” on Independence Day.

Dressed in a glittering black corset with lace trim, Kesha caught the audience’s attention as she held up a black T-shirt emblazoned with the word “free” in glitter, symbolizing her newfound freedom from her record label.

The performance marked a milestone for Kesha, as it was her first release as an independent artist through her own record label Kesha Records, following a lengthy legal battle with producer Dr. Luke, whom she accused of various forms of abuse – sexual, physical, verbal and emotional.

During the event, Kesha went through several outfit changes, including a nun-inspired look, before switching into a chic cowboy outfit.

She also made a bold statement when she held up a sanitary napkin with the word “c***y” printed on it in front of the crowd.

The blonde singer looked stunning with her hair in voluminous curls and silver glitter eyeshadow accentuating her look.

The single marks Kesha’s first release since she left RCA and Kemosabe Records in December. The departure comes after she settled a defamation lawsuit with Kemosabe Records founder Dr. Luke just a month before a trial scheduled for June 2023.

The split from the record label comes after she released her fifth album ‘Gag Order’ in May, fulfilling her contractual obligations to Kemosabe.

The Los Angeles singer filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke in 2014, accusing the doctor of sexual assault and emotional abuse.

Last weekend, the ‘TiK ToK’ singer shared a short video on Instagram showcasing a variety of red outfits.

Initially posing in a car and riding in a convertible, she playfully gestured to the camera with her middle finger raised. She later donned a red cowboy hat and held up a handwritten cardboard sign that read “Joy Ride.”

The pop star also revealed the cover art for her new single, which features her sitting on the hood of a car in red fishnet leggings and shiny boots.
