Early life and education
Kevin De Bruyne, a famous Belgian footballer, was born in the picturesque village of Drongen on June 28, 1991. His mother, Anna De Bruyne, and father, Herwig De Bruyne, raised him with love. Kevin also has an older sister in the family named Stephanie De Bruyne.
Although Kevin did not pursue a conventional academic path, he still took time to practice his soccer skills.

Career
Kevin De Bruyne’s professional career began in 1997 with his hometown club, KVV Drongen. After two years in Brussels, he moved to Gent and Genk in 2005. De Bruyne honed his skills in Genk’s youth system before being promoted to the first team in 2008 due to his impressive development. He made his professional debut for Genk on 7 February 2009, but was defeated 2–0 by Charleroi.
De Bruyne wasted no time in becoming an integral member of Genk, playing a key role in their victory in the Belgian Pro League in the 2010–11 season. His exceptional performances also earned him the Belgian Young Player of the Year award in 2011.
De Bruyne’s excellent performances for Genk caught the eye of many prestigious clubs and eventually saw him signed by Chelsea in January 2012 for an impressive transfer fee of £7 million.
Unfortunately, KDB’s transition to English football was difficult as he struggled to adapt to his new environment, often finding himself on the bench rather than being a regular starter.
Kevin De Bruyne scored an impressive 10 goals in 33 appearances while on loan at Werder Bremen in the 2012-13 season. However, upon returning to Chelsea for the 2013-14 season, he struggled to secure a regular place in the first team.
De Bruyne joined Wolfsburg for a fee of £18 million in January 2014. He quickly established himself as a key member of the team, helping them win the DFB-Pokal in 2014-15. He also demonstrated his incredible goalscoring ability, scoring 16 goals in 34 Bundesliga games, finishing as the league’s top scorer that season.
