Kevin George Knipfen, 59, was born on April 26, 1965 in Mineola, New York, USA. His father is Janet Klein, an American office clerk, and his mother is Joseph Valentine Knipfen Jr., a German-American insurance company owner.
He grew up in Stoneybrook, New York, along with his sister Leslie and brother Gary (also known as comedian and actor Gary Valentine). The siblings were raised in the Catholic faith.
Kevin attended Ward Melville High School, where he excelled in wrestling and became teammates with future professional wrestler Mick Foley. After a back injury, he shifted his focus to SUNY Cortland, where he played football until another back injury ended his athletic career.
