Early life and education
Khama Billiat, now 33, was born on August 19, 1990, in Harare, Zimbabwe. He grew up in a supportive family, with his parents Rosa and Mustafo Billiat by his side.
His father, a former footballer who played for CAPS United, had a significant influence on Khama’s passion for the sport. Unfortunately, his father failed to make it into the first team.
Khama discovered his talent for football at an early age. He attended Gwinyiro Primary School in Mufakose, Harare, where his talent was recognized by Arufa Sumani, a groundskeeper. Sumani discovered Khama’s talent for football and soon made him captain of the school’s first team.
After completing his primary education, Khama joined the Aces Youth Football Academy at the age of ten. During his time at the academy, he met his good friend and future teammate at Kaizer Chiefs, Knowledge Musona.

Career
Khama Billiat’s professional career began at Ajax Cape Town, where he made his debut in the quarter-finals of the 2010 MTN 8 tournament.
He played for Mamelodi Sundowns, a team he would later join. Khama’s impressive performances caught the attention of Rio Ferdinand, who praised his agility, speed and ball control after a friendly match with Manchester United.
In August 2013, Khama signed a five-year contract with Mamelodi Sundowns. He went on to make a significant impact on the team, helping them win the 2016 CAF Champions League, making them African champions.
