Early life
Khanyisa Titus was born into a middle-class family in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
At the age of seven, he moved to Pretoria with his family and spent most of his formative years in the capital. He grew up with two siblings; an older brother and an older sister.
Khanyisa Titus’s time in Pretoria opened up many opportunities for her to meet people. She made friends with the elite kids and became very outgoing and articulate over the years.
Education
The 34-year-old presenter is also an academic.
She studied and obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Journalism and Media Studies, Anthropology and Sociology from Rhodes University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Cinematic Media from AFDA; after majoring in Television Production with Honours.
Khanyisa’s academic achievements also include a Master of Fine Arts which she obtained from AFDA after taking the Story Adaptation and Screenplay (Screenwriting) course.
Prior to pursuing her recent academic career, she completed her undergraduate degree in 2012.
Career
In 2017, Khanyisa attended the ‘Search for the Perfect Wedding Host’ audition with her cousin but was not allowed to participate because she had to wait too long in a warehouse full of contestants.
That year, Kayise Ngqula won the audition round and debuted on 21 January 2018 as the new host of the show Our Perfect Wedding.
Khanyisa Titus was not to be deterred and took the opportunity a few months later to join a talent agency, for voice acting. She got lucky after her agent sent her name for an audition in 2019.
Khanyisa was chosen as the new Host of Our Perfect Wedding and debuted in the Season 10 premiere on March 29, 2020.
Her easy-going voice and endearing personality have won the hearts of many in South Africa. Her broadcast on Mzansi Magic has garnered her more views and followers despite her receiving criticism from some viewers.
