Early life

Khusela Diko was born in 1979 in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape to George Bizos and Masivuye Sangoni.

Her exact date of birth has not yet been revealed. Her father was a prominent lawyer and was involved in the execution of Nelson Mandela’s will.

He is the younger brother of former South African Judge President, Themba Sangoni. Her mother, Masivuye Sangoni is a teacher. She has two siblings and grew up in a Christian family.

Khusela Diko married King Bhatia Madzikane II Thandisizwe Diko, king of the Amabhaca tribe.

The couple cemented their union in a royal wedding. Their wedding lasted two days, starting on December 14 at her home in the village of Qokolweni. The wedding was attended by hundreds of guests in traditional costumes from all over South Africa.

The wedding was rated by many South African newspapers and websites as the most beautiful traditional wedding that took place that year. On Monday, December 15, the second part of the wedding was held at the king’s palace in Kwabhaca.

Many local names attended the wedding including the Minister of Public Works, Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, members of the African National Congress (ANC) party were also present to celebrate. Attend a memorable event.
