Kim Cruse On The Voice
Kim Cruse’s journey on The Voice 22 began in the seventh (or final) blind audition round when she sang her best part perfectly and left all the coaches speechless. While all four coaches tried their best to get the talented Kim on their team, she chose to go with Team Legend.
During the competition that aired on NBC on October 24, Kim was paired with David Andrews, where they sang Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary”. Kim advanced to the Knockouts while David was eliminated from the competition.
In the live elimination round, Kim sang Ann Peebies’ I Can’t Stand the Rain and made it to the Top 16 – Live Elimination Round, beating Emma Brooke, who sang I Hope, and The Marilynds, who sang Chasing Cars.
In the Top 16, Kim Cruise sang Aretha Franklin’s classic I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You) and advanced to the next round because she was John Legend’s choice. Now, in the Top 13, Kim Cruse performed Willie Nelson’s Always on My Mind and was saved by the public vote and advanced to the Top 10.
The theme for the Top 10 Round was Fan Week, where the public picked the songs the artists had to perform. Viewers chose Rihanna’s Love on the Brain and she did a great job. Kim’s performance was rich, vibrant and powerful. Although the results are still in, she will easily qualify for the semi-finals of The Voice 2022.
