Kofi Jamar started his music career in 2018. Jamar entered the Ghanaian music scene through a remix of the song “Johnny” released by a famous Nigerian female artiste, Yemi Alade.
He collaborated with Ghanaian rapper Obey to cover the song. The song was well-received by his fans and made him popular all over Ghana. The song became an instant hit in Ghana and he gained a large number of listeners and fans in Ghana. He was called the most promising artist in the Ashanti region of Ghana, but unfortunately, he failed to meet the high expectations of his fans due to lack of financial support and proper advertising.
In 2018, he signed with Gardone Records, a Virginia-based record label based in Ghana, which was interested in his talent. He is currently releasing several songs. He is yet to release his first album, but he is currently working on it and his fans are looking forward to it, and this time he is ready.
At the age of 18, he participated in a freestyle rap competition held by Ghana’s top radio station in Kumasi. With this unique talent, he won the competition and was named the best rapper in the Kumasi region of Ghana. The same award was also won by well-known figures in the Ghanaian music and rap industry, including Strongman (rapper) and Ypee.
