Kwasi Arthur (born 18 December 1994) is the stage name of Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, a Ghanaian rapper, songwriter and musician from Tema, Ghana. He attended Tema Senior Secondary School, but due to financial constraints, he was unable to continue his higher education.
Attention started gathering for him when he released the single “Grind Day” which received endless praise and got him co-signed by rap heavyweights Sarkodie and Medikal.

Early life and education
Kwesi Arthur was born on December 18, 1994. The rapper’s parents, Vivian Danso (mother) and Samuel Danso Arthur (father), raised him in his birthplace, Tema, Ghana.
Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior is his name. He grew up with four siblings. He has an older sister and twin brothers and is the oldest child in the family. He has a musician brother named DayOnTheTrack.

Kwesi Arthur’s career began when he was inspired by Canadian rapper Drake. The rapper was moved by the artistic vision of Thank Me Later, and from then on, he was ready to invest more time in honing his craft. It didn’t take long for him to discover the secrets of the industry and achieve success.
The rapper released his number one single “Grind Day” from his EP Live From Nkrumah Krom (2017). The song was released on his independent record label and received support from the social action organization Ground Up Chale. As a new artist, it was very gratifying to receive support from Ground Up Chale as they are already well-known in Ghana.
After releasing the hit song, he later collaborated with Sarkodie and Medikal to produce a remix. He has also collaborated with many Ghanaian musicians such as Sarkodie, Medikal, KiDi, Jason El-A, R2Bees, B4bonah, M.anifest, Elom Adablah and Stonebwoy, as well as rising star Nasty C from South Africa.
This became a technique for the rapper to dominate and spread his music to the southern region of Africa as the latter is one of the top Trap High Hop musicians in South Africa.
The Grammy-winning rapper has gifted his fans with the lead single from his upcoming BET Award-nominated album, Turn On The Lights, where he features alongside Stormzy on Yaw Tog’s Sore Remix.
